On December 2-4, 2024, the South Carolina Aggregates Association (SCAA) proudly hosted its 4th Annual Workshop & Exhibit at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. This year’s event saw an exciting expansion, incorporating heavy equipment into the exhibit floor, and the turnout was nothing short of phenomenal!
A total of seven impressive pieces of heavy machinery were on display, courtesy of Blanchard Machinery, Commonwealth Equipment Corp, Conn-Weld Industries, Dobbs Equipment, Hills Machinery, Linder Industrial Machinery, and Stone Equipment.
The event attracted 350 registered attendees, who explored a bustling exhibit hall featuring 54 exhibitors—along with the heavy machinery displays. Our members had the opportunity to connect with key industry leaders, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights into the evolving landscape of the aggregates industry.
Throughout the workshop, we were fortunate to hear from a diverse lineup of expert speakers who shared their knowledge on some of the most pressing issues affecting our industry today. Topics included economic trends and their impact on our industry, workforce development, emerging technologies and the role of AI, and, perhaps most crucially, safety.
The 2024 Workshop & Exhibit was an outstanding opportunity for learning, networking, and industry advancement. We look forward to continuing this tradition of growth and collaboration in the years ahead!
