Committees
Legislative Committee
Focus collective efforts to ensure legislative and regulatory actions introduced by local, state or federal governments are understood and conveyed to the Board. Includes frequent communication with SC lobbyists. Legislative committee members work with like-minded Associations and their committees to serve our members with broader reach and strength.
Education Committee
Focus on workforce development initiatives, scholarships, and the SCAA foundation.
Marketing and Technical Committee
Focus on technical and specifications affecting the industry while maintaining contact and relationships with the SCDOT.
Environmental Committee
Focus on discussions and relationships with regulatory agencies (DHEC) and handle the selection process for our annual environmental award.
Safety and HR Committee
Focus on discussions and relationships with regulatory agencies (MSHA), sharing Best Management Practices to improve safety in the industry, and handling the safety awards selection process for the annual safety awards.
Workshop Committee
Work together on the planning and decisions to ensure the successful execution of the annual conference and exhibit.
