SCAA is excited to announce that sixteen students have been selected to receive a total of $18,750 in scholarships from the SCAA Foundation. Since 2022, the SCAA Foundation awards up to $5,000 to an employee of a member company who is going back to school to further their career or students pursuing a professional field of mineral extraction or one that supports this field.
The recipients were chosen based on academic achievement, community and social involvement, and were asked to submit an essay about what type of career they are pursuing in the mining industry and how they plan to achieve this.
The scholarship recipients include :

- Austin Constable – Business at Binghamton University
- Brayden Nance – Engineering at University of Georgia
- Brett Pate – Marketing at Clemson University
- Brooklyn Cornwell – Sustainability and Coastal Resilience at Coastal Carolina University
- Caleb Ratliff – Mining Engineering at University of Kentucky
- Caroline DePriest – International Business and Accounting at Mississippi State University
- Dutch Richards – Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology
- Eli Bowers – Diesel Technology at Florence-Darlington Technical College
- Ella Hash – Earth and Environmental Sciences at Furman University
- Hunter Morton – Martin Marietta – Masters of Business Administration at Wake Forest University
- Jaylan Hulon – Diesel Technology at Florence-Darlington Technical College
- Justin Bruton – Diesel Technology at Florence-Darlington Technical College
- Logan Pate – Business Marketing at Clemson University
- Natalie Riedel – Business Marketing at Lander University
- Reagan Cooke – Civil Engineering at Mercer University
