The South Carolina Aggregates Association is proud to congratulate the recipients of the 2026 SCAA Scholarship. These outstanding students represent the next generation of professionals pursuing education and career paths connected to the aggregates industry and the many fields that support it.

Through the SCAA Scholarship Program, the South Carolina Aggregates Association Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides financial assistance to students who are pursuing a degree or field of study related to mineral extraction or an industry-supporting discipline. Applicants shared their goals and aspirations through an essay or video submission, giving the Scholarship Committee the opportunity to learn more about each student and their plans for the future.

This year’s recipients demonstrated the ambition, dedication, and potential that make this program so meaningful. We are honored to invest in their education and look forward to seeing where their careers take them.

Made Possible by Our Members

The SCAA Scholarship Program is made possible through the continued support and participation of our members. Throughout the year, SCAA events bring our industry together while also creating meaningful opportunities to invest in the next generation.

All proceeds from the SCAA Oyster Roast, along with a portion of the proceeds from our golf tournaments and clay shoots, benefit the Scholarship Program. The program is also supported through generous contributions from SCAA member companies and individuals who believe in helping students pursue their education and future careers.

Whether attending an association event, participating in a tournament, supporting a fundraiser, or making a direct donation, our members play an important role in making scholarships like these possible. In 2026, the SCAA is honored to have awarded $35,000 in scholarships to 14 deserving students, and the continued growth of the program reflects the generosity and commitment of our membership.

Investing in the Next Generation

The SCAA’s commitment to the next generation extends beyond scholarships. Through programs like the Emerging Leaders Program and the Association’s new Mentorship Program, SCAA is creating opportunities for students and young professionals to build relationships, gain industry insight, and develop the skills and connections that will support them throughout their careers.

The Emerging Leaders Program provides participants with opportunities to grow professionally while developing a deeper understanding of the aggregates industry. As part of the program, participants complete a capstone project that allows them to put their experiences and knowledge into action while contributing to the future of the industry.

Building on that foundation, SCAA is launching a new Mentorship Program that will connect scholarship recipients and students with members of the Emerging Leaders Program. Mentors will serve as a sounding board and guide, helping students gain a better understanding of the real-world experience of working in the aggregates industry, explore career paths, and become more connected to the SCAA community.

Together, these initiatives reflect SCAA’s broader commitment to developing the people who will shape the future of South Carolina’s aggregates industry. From scholarships that help students pursue their education to mentorship and leadership opportunities that help them build their careers, we are proud to support the next generation every step of the way.
