Over the past seven months, 17 dedicated professionals from across the aggregates industry committed themselves to a journey of growth, learning, and collaboration. Through the SCAA Emerging Leaders Program, these individuals strengthened their leadership skills, expanded their understanding of South Carolina’s aggregates industry, and gained a deeper appreciation for the people, operations, and partnerships that keep our industry moving forward.

Throughout the program, participants explored topics designed to prepare them for future leadership opportunities within their companies, the association, and the industry as a whole. From developing practical leadership skills to gaining geographic awareness of South Carolina’s diverse operations and markets, each session was designed to broaden perspectives while building meaningful connections among the cohort.

The program culminated this week during the 2nd Annual SCAA Mid-Year Meeting at Barnsley Resort, where each team presented its capstone project to fellow members and industry leaders. These presentations showcased not only the knowledge participants gained throughout the program, but also their creativity, collaboration, and commitment to strengthening the future of South Carolina’s aggregates industry.

The Emerging Leaders Program represents an investment in the next generation of industry professionals. By encouraging leadership development, fostering relationships across member companies, and providing a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our industry, the program helps ensure that SCAA members are equipped to lead with confidence for years to come.
